Job Purpose

The qualified candidate will be a member of a team that is responsible for fulfilling a combination of production support and application administration tasks for the SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) application. The qualified candidate will work individually and as part of the team to render SAS EBI Administration support for the activities rendered by the program. The production support position will utilize knowledge of the SAS EBI tool suite and the associated CMS environment.

Duties

Tool Administration services include operational enhancements as well as maintenance and support of SAS 9.3 and 9.4 environments. Additionally, the SAS EBI Administrator will provide support for the SAS EBI application while ensuring processes are aligned with tactical and strategic initiatives. The SAS EBI Administrator also ensures the platform is positioned for compliance with defined security policies and standards.

Ensures the overall health of the SAS EBI Application

Configure new users and projects within the SAS EBI environment

Provide production support to end users primarily using the Enterprise Guide client

Applies maintenance releases, upgrades and hot fixes as required

Designs solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of the CMS SAS EBI environment

Designs, implements, and maintains SAS EBI Application security

Performs SAS EBI capacity planning and management

Serves as an escalation point for escalated SAS EBI issues.

Establishes best practices and guidelines for usage of the SAS EBI Application

Have a customer-focused demeanor, effective oral and written communication skills.

Generates written documentation of all work performed.

Provide off-hours and weekend support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Three or more years of experience performing SAS EBI Administration tasks such as installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of SAS EBI software components in a Solaris or z/Linux environment.

Three or more years of experience supporting SAS EBI reporting and analytical applications in a production environment.

Thorough understanding and previous working experience performing code promotion activities

Past experience supporting SAS EBI applications and reporting solutions that connect to Teradata, DB2, or Oracle databases.

Previous working experience with IBM WebSphere or other mid-tier web server applications.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of databases such as Teradata, DB2, and Oracle.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot application issues.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Good team player; works well with others.
