Position: Senior Network Engineer
 

Location: Crystal City, Virginia. Occasional travel to local sites will be required.
 

Clearance: Secret
 

Duration: 12/31/2016 with possible extension
 
Visa: US Citizen

Position Description: This position is for a Tier 4 support engineer to provide support for a Tier 2 Network Operations Center (NOC), and Tier 3 Network Support team, and overall network ownership of network devices in over 90 locations across the globe. The candidate should have very strong architectural skills, and be very knowledgeable of Cisco DMVPN technologies, and Xirrus wireless arrays. This position will also entail innovation and roadmap direction of improvements in processes, equipment, and configurations.

The candidate will work closely with the security group, server teams, and various other groups within the agency. The candidate will be responsible for escalation support (diagnosis, troubleshooting & resolution), Root Cause Determination (RCA) leadership, network documentation, assessments, and generation and analysis of monthly reports. Occasional overtime may be required from the candidate, and weekly on-call participation is required.
