Rational System Architect

Description:


The IRS CADE 2 Tools Support team supports the Rational Tools Initiative (RTI) with program management, adoption planning/management, integration support,  technical subject matter expertise, and training for IBM’s Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools. The RTI is currently focused on achieving the following three primary goals:  
• Develop plans and processes to define and implement standardized usage of Rational CLM
• Operationalize a Rational CLM Gateway to standardize and streamline enterprise adoption of CLM tools at the IRS
• Lead development of a Training Assessment and Training Plan to lay the groundwork for account-wide Rational CLM Training

Key responsibilities include the following:
• Act in a client-facing role to facilitate stakeholder meetings, gain alignment, provide recommendations, and document IRS stakeholder requirements
• Lead development of Rational Team Concert training materials
• Provide support and technical subject matter expertise in developing key deliverables



Skills Set:


 Expert-level knowledge in IBM Rational CLM Tool Suite, specifically:
            o Rational Requirements Composer (RRC)
            o Rational Team Concert (RTC)
            o Rational Quality Manager (RQM)
• Experience facilitating design or strategy discussions with client stakeholders
• Experience implementing COTS products for large-scale organizations
• Strong interpersonal skills to support frequent team and client collaboration and brainstorming
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Desired Skills:
• Experience with CLM project administration would be helpful
• Experience building custom reports in Rational Insight/Publishing Engine would be helpful
• Experience developing or delivering training plans and/or materials would be helpful
