Sr. Java Developer

Job title: Sr. Java Developer (Contract on w2)

Status: US Citizen or Green Card

Experience: 9 -12 yrs 

Location: Reston, VA

Job Description:  

•  Provide technical expertise to set the technical direction and manage issues, technical    

    integration and technical service levels for a group of technologies.

•  Define and design technical requirements to support business requirements, participate    

    in detailed design and code reviews.

•  Review system performance and consumption issues, review test plans, and provide 

    technical guidance and support to others.

Required Skills

•  Java 1.6 and 1.8

•  JEE technology

•  Experience in one of following programming languages: Groovy, Scala, Ruby, Go

•  Experience in Git,

•  Experience in Maven or Gradle

•  Experience in Java based framework: Spring, CXF, Log4J, JUnit, Guice or other JVM 

    based framework

Additional Preferred Skills:

•   Non-block IO web application development. For example, node.js or other web 

     framework

•   Experience with backbone.js, angular.js or JavaScript framework

•   Experience in Jenkins and Nexus

•   Experience in using JIRA as Agile methodology tool

•   JBoss EAP, JBoss FUSE, and migration from EAP to FUSE

•   JBoss BRMS 5.2 and 6.x

Additional Requirements:

•   Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

•   Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

•   Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

•   Must be able to receive Federal Public Trust clearance

•   Candidates must have lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years.
