Job Description:

Informatica ETL Tool Administration services include performing operational enhancements as well as maintenance and support of the Informatica ETL environments. Additionally, the Informatica Administrator will provide support for the application while ensuring processes are aligned with tactical and strategic initiatives. The Informatica Administrator also ensures the platform is positioned for compliance with defined security policies and standards.

Duties:

Ensures the overall health of the Informatica Enterprise Application

Provides support to Developers for all components of the Informatica BI Tool Suite.

Reviews Informatica ETL code promotion requests to assure proper standards.

Performs Informatica ETL Code promotions into different environments.

Applies service packs, upgrades, and hot fixes as required.

Designs and recommends solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of the CMS Informatica application.

Designs, implements, and maintains Informatica Application security

Performs Informatica capacity planning and management

Recommends and establishes best practices and guidelines for usage of the Informatica Application

Generates written documentation for work performed.

Have a customer-focused demeanor, effective oral and written communication skills.

Provide off-hours and weekend support as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Five or more years of experience performing Informatica Administration tasks such as installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of Informatica software components in a Solaris or z/Linux environment.

Five or more years of experience supporting ETL applications/workflow in a production environment

Extensive knowledge and experience with Informatica architecture and lifecycle of Informatica product

Previous experience managing Informatica user security groups and roles and migration of users

Five or more years of experience working with relational databases with knowledge of creation of complex queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers and performance tuning

Past experience in Oracle 11g and Teradata databases with exposure to utilities such as Fast Export, Fast Load, BTEQ etc.

Experience in UNIX environments

Skills:

Thorough understanding and previous working experience performing code promotion activities

Strong analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot application issues.

Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly

Ability to interact with client and translate business requirements into technical solutions

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Flexibility and ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented

Previous experience developing and executing technical project plans to meet customer requests such as software upgrades

Ability to project database resource requirements including personnel, software, equipment and facilities.

Must be able to adapt to organizational change
