POSITION DESCRIPTION

OUR CLIENT is seeking a talented individual to support our team at Ft. Meade with management of a COTS Oracle database and support for data extraction and transformation needed to populate other databases.  Strong SQL Skills, deep knowledge of how Oracle works, is backed up and is restored is needed.  The ability to support Oracle development efforts using open source tools used for Business Intelligence and reporting is also required.  The desire to learn the administration and management of an enterprise business application with many modules and Oracle tables is needed.  We need an energetic self starter with initiative to spare to move the needle in delivering new information based capabilities to the customer base.

Qualifications:

JAVA expertise a plus 

High level of interest in developing interfaces between the CA Clarity Software COTS package and other financial systems, security  systems and developing custom functions that augment the COTS function (OUR CLIENT will provide training in Ca Clarity as part of employment)

Knowledge of Linux OS

Experience developing applications that use Oracle databases 

Experience with Business Objects/ Crystal Reports  

Capabilities Desired:

This job is not a from the ground up software engineering development job – the candidate must enjoy figuring out things and exploring unknown aspects of a COTS application and developing custom interfaces around the COTS application or within the COTS application that help achieve customer goals.  The job required someone that is curious and likes to dig in and discover new things on their own.  

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required .
