 Position: Quality Assurance Analyst (contract to hire)

Job Description:

The Quality Analyst is an integral member of the Quality Management Office (QMO) and will help develop, implement, and institutionalize processes; work closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) and Project Management, communicating issues that may impact the execution of the project.
The QA Analyst may be tasked with working closely with various project management teams, validating that products are compliant with contract requirements, QSSI processes and procedures, CMMI models, and the CMS System Development Life Cycle framework.

Required Skills
  • Experience conducting document reviews against defined processes
  • Experience conducting process audits
  • Experience assisting an organization in achieving and maintaining CMMI compliance
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous QA efforts
  • Experience working on full life cycle implementation teams
  • Experience working with quality methodologies (CMMI, ISO, Six Sigma)
  • Experience identifying and analyzing quality and project metrics
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and reporting skills
  • Can-do attitude- this person must be hands-on, not just evaluating the quality processes currently in place, but helping each and every project achieve compliance. Must be flexible, and can work with many different layers of management and project teams
  • May be responsible for documenting and creating the processes for projects based on QSSI processes, client requirements, and CMMI-DEV and CMMI-SVC models
  • Responsible for training and coaching project members on the newly defined processes and then auditing them for compliance once institutionalized
  • Experience training engineers in process and quality improvement principles and the CMMI.
  • Experience in conducting self-assessments and readiness reviews to prepare a project for process maturity evaluation by an external assessment team
  • Experience setting up and using an electronic process asset library to store organizational process assets and best practices that are used by team members to improve performance
 Required Experience
  • BA or BS in Business, Information Systems, Engineering or a quality- related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant quality assurance or process improvement experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing or applying CMMI for Development or CMMI for Services 
  • Candidate must have successfully completed CMMI Institute-sponsored “Intro To CMMI-DEV” or “Intro To CMMI-SVC” course; and be able to provide a Certificate of Completion.
